Brennan’s Fish House
Why we love it: Each Sunday in October from 1 to 8 p.m., Brennan’s welcomes diners to its charming suburban venue, constructed in 1865, for a generous spread of freshwater food at its annual clambakes. Try this: The clambake ($39.99) comes with a bowl of New England clam chowder, a dozen clams, half of an herb-roasted chicken, sweet potato, corn and bread and butter. Extra clams are also available by the dozen ($19.99). 102 River St., Grand River, 440-354-9785, brennansfishhouse.com
Crafted Artisan Meadery
Why we love it: Setting off clambake season earlier than some others, Crafted Artisan is hosting their clambake ($32) on Sept. 6. With parking lot games, live music and award-winning mead on tap, there’s plenty to look forward to. Tickets are required to secure your clambake ($32), not to attend the event. Try this: This dinner includes a dozen clams, half of a smoked chicken, sweet corn, red potatoes and drawn butter. 1292 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, 330-628-4444, facebook.com/CraftedArtisanMeadery
Euclid Fish Co.
Why we love it: When a fall weekend just feels too cozy to get you out of the house, take your clams to-go from Euclid Fish Co., a cornerstone in the Cleveland clambake experience for decades. Try this: Chef Comella's Original Cleveland Clambake ($24.95) comes with all the foods you know and love: a dozen clams, a half chicken, sweet potato, sweet corn, coleslaw, rolls and butter. Cook it like the pros with a rentable burner and steamer ($24.99-$374.95), available per order with instructions. 7839 Enterprise Drive, Mentor, 440-951-6448, neoclambakes.com
Gideon Owen Wine Co.
Why we love it: Close out the summer with Gideon Owen Wine. For $45, you get their creamy clam chowder, a dozen clams, a quarter chicken, sweet corn on the cob, redskin potatoes, a fresh baked dinner roll and, to top it off, a slice of apple pie, on Sept. 20. Hoppin’ Frog Brewery
Why we love it: With unique elements like kielbasa and fingerling potatoes, this special meal ($60-$95) has us hopping in anticipation for Sept. 20. Lost Trail Winery
Why we love it: The winery's Hungry Hiker food trailer delivers a fresh lineup of a dozen clams, clam chowder, sweet potato, corn on the cob, quarter chicken and broth ($40). Show up hungry and taste it for yourself on Oct. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m., with live music by Robin Roseberry keeping the scene alive. Try this: To complement your meal, add your choice of wine for an additional cost. 5228 State St. NE, Canton, 330-754-9643, losttrailwinery.com
M Cellars
Why we love it: On Oct. 3, you’ll have the opportunity to be treated to a clambake catered by Regovich Catering ($TBD) paired with M Cellars’ estate grown wines. Because the space has limited seating, RSVP by sending an email to tara@mcellars.com. Try This: Expand your palate with any number of their wines such as pinot noir, or the brut rose. 6193 South River Road, W. Geneva, 440-361-4104 mcellars.com
Red Wagon Farm
Why we love it: Entering their second annual clambake Aug. 29, Red Wagon Farm takes you on a deliciously clammy journey starting with their clam chowder. That makes way for their sweet corn on the cob, a roasted sweet potato and half of a barbecued chicken that comes fresh off the grill. And if you’re not spoiled enough, you also get Steamed Topneck Clams. They also have a kids meal available which includes a hot dog, and an ear of Red Wagon Sweet Corn. Dinners cost $55. Try this: If you’re not one for clams, you can have the option of the Chicken Dinner Selection ($35) which has all the bake and none of the clams. 16081 E. River Road, Columbia Station, 440-236-3007, facebook.com/RedWagonFarmOhio
Reithoffer’s Art, Spirits & Entertainment
Why we love it: In the heat of clambake season, on Oct.11, Northeast Ohio is treated to an event complete with music by Dreadlock Dave, a bonfire and more. Helping to deliver the core of the entire event is the clambake ($73.34-$81.88) catered by Cleveland’s own Normandy Catering. Try this: If you’re hungry for more, you can always request another dozen clams ($17.85). 17711 Ravenna Road, Chagrin Falls, 216-246-7644, reithoffers.com
Sachsenheim Hall
Why we love it: Satisfying both seafood and meat lovers, the beloved German eatery is serving its clams with a choice of chicken or steak ($25.95-$29.95). Coming quick on Sept. 27 at 4 p.m., justify taking the pass on their iconic schnitzel dinner for this annual special — there will still be plenty of beers and cheers. Try this: If course one isn't enough, order another round of clams ($10). 7001 Denison Ave., Cleveland, 216-651-0888, sachsenheimhall.com
Stancato’s Italian Restaurant
Why we love it: Stancato’s invites you to shell-ebrate with clambakes available for dine-in or carry out every Saturday in October and Nov. 8. The hefty meal includes New England clam chowder, linguine pasta in a white clam sauce, marinated chicken breast, corn on the cob and more ($49.99). Try this: Get out to the beloved Parma eatery to load up on protein and add a pound of mussels with shrimp scampi sauce ($13.99).7380 State Road, Parma, 440-886-6242, stancatos.com
