Arpan Shrestha, a Nepal native, started her store in 2019 to bring handmade artistry from the rural Kathmandu Valley to Cleveland while supporting female workers in the country. “They don’t have much opportunity because they are not educated,” Shrestha says. As many as five skilled hands go into creating one adorable finger puppet ($9.99), nursery garland ($48.99) or cat cave ($69.99), among a few customer favorites. “It’s small, but it does make a difference." nepaliartisans.com
