Capriccio’s Italian Restaurant Opens Its Doors in Solon Today
The restaurant joins the growing Cleveland Restaurant Management Group.

For decades, the building at the corner of Miles and Brainard was home to the American Tavern. In 2018, Scott Fisher took over and renamed the restaurant Fisher’s American Tavern. That business closed last spring in anticipation of the changeover. Fisher has joined the team at Cleveland Restaurant Management Group.
The aim at Capriccio’s, says management, is to provide patrons with delicious Italian cuisine “complete with hefty portions at affordable prices.”
“Over a year of planning has gone into Capriccio’s in order to make it the best Italian restaurant it could possibly be,” explains Friedlander. “When we set out to create the restaurant, our goal was to create a creative location where patrons could expect quality, homemade Italian food. We’ve certainly achieved that goal with Capriccio’s.”
The menu features a generous assortment of starters, salads, pastas, Neapolitan-style pizzas and entrees. Guests can start with an order of Brad’s “famous” stuffed hot peppers, lightly breaded calamari, meatballs and wine-steamed mussels. There is Italian wedding soup, chopped salad and a Caesar.
For the 12-inch pizzas, diners can select from a half-dozen house creations or build their own. Guests, also, are invited to design their own pasta course by selecting from a roster of noodles, sauces and toppings. For the main course, there are Italian staples like lasagna, chicken parmesan and chicken piccata. There is also a breaded pork chop Milanese, spicy shrimp pasta and pan-seared filet.
The completely redone interior, which seats 80, is described as “classic Italian décor with a modern twist.”
