La Plaza is being replaced by Sauce the City at Re:bar, owner Rachel Ulloa announced Friday afternoon on Instagram.

“Our partnership with La Plaza at Re:bar has been a cherished chapter in our story. We are immensely grateful for the invaluable moments shared and the unwavering support received from our customers,” Ulloa says in a statement. “Together, we ventured into uncharted territories, transforming Re:Bar into both a bar + restaurant. However, with growth comes evolution, and in our commitment to community spirit and collaboration, we have decided to conclude this chapter with La Plaza.

“We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Sauce the City, who will take the reins as our full-time kitchen bringing forth their incredible chicken + sauces. Additionally, we eagerly anticipate hosting pop-ups with local chefs on select Sundays & Mondays, starting January 2024,” the statement continued.

According to the statement, December will be the final month for customers to experience La Plaza at Re:bar.

Sauce the City is a restaurant in University Heights that specializes in chicken and several sauces.

Re:bar is located at 2130 E. Ninth St. in Downtown Cleveland.
