Cleveland Browns Blown Out by the Washington Commanders: DMan's Three Takeaways

It's tough to find a bright spot in a dismal week five showing by both the Cleveland defense and offense, including missed tackles and inexcusable drops.

The Cleveland Browns show zero heart in a 34-13 blowout loss to the Washington Commanders. Radio host and CM contributor Dennis Manoloff shares his takeaways from today’s game.

Takeaway One: A lack of heart and discipline.
The Browns’ lack of focus and effort was glaring, as even an inanimate object seemed more organized than the team on the field. "See this box right here," says Manoloff, placing a box on his head. "This box has more heart and more soul and more desire than the Cleveland Browns showed against the Washington commanders."

Takeaway Two: Mental mistakes sealed the loss early.
Multiple penalties, including two too-many-men-on-the-field infractions in four snaps, allowed Washington to build a commanding lead by halftime. "In the second quarter, there was a possession of Washington's where the Browns had two too-many-men-on-the-field penalties in a span of four snaps," Manoloff says. "The game was over by halftime?"

Takeaway Three: An uncertain future ahead.
With a trip to Philadelphia looming, the Browns are in need of major adjustments, but it remains unclear what those solutions could be."They're gonna have to make serious changes to this outfit," Manoloff says. "I just don't know what they are."
