Opening Day ends in disaster for the Cleveland Browns. The team’s struggles on both sides of the ball have left fans and analysts alike questioning its preparedness and execution. Radio host and CM contributor Dennis Manoloff breaks down the 33-17 week one loss at home to the Dallas Cowboys.

Takeaway One: A disastrous outing.
After months of preparation, the Browns fell flat in an ugly performance against Dallas, raising serious concerns about the team’s ability to compete. "It wasn't just a loss — it was a disaster," says Manoloff. "You had all off season to prepare for that. You had all this time their exhibition games and all the roster decisions. You knew who the opponent was for months, and this is the best you could do."

Takeaway Two: Deshaun Watson disappoints.
Despite legitimate challenges, Watson's performance was lackluster and disjointed, leaving doubts about whether he can live up to his $230 million contract. "Deshaun Watson played like garbage. All right, he did," says Manoloff. "He was leaving the pocket early. He was skittish. It was just a mess. And Deshaun Watson as the $230 Million Dollar Man. He has to shoulder a lot of the blame for today's lackluster performance by the offense."

Takeaway Three: Season still salvageable, but morale is low.
While it’s only one game, the Browns' humiliating loss has cast a shadow over the season’s outlook. "I totally get the season's not over," says Manoloff. "It's only one game, but the Browns should be humiliated by what took place on the lakefront this afternoon."
