The off-white T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats with maroon logos and decals are subtle in color, but they’re the latest and biggest eye-catcher at Center Court, the Cavs team shop. Emily Roggenburk’s Iconic Cavs Collection fuses athleisure and streetwear for a sleek design that makes sports merch both fashionable and timeless.

Each piece sports the Cavs or Cleveland name in vintage fonts, accompanied by a bold “OH,” embroidered at the chest like a varsity letter, which has become a signature of Roggenburk’s brand.

“We just like to have this kind of identifying mark that people can recognize,” she says, “that when people see it, they can think of Cleveland. That doesn't necessarily have to be tied to a sports team.”

The various decals on each garment are arranged in a patchwork style that’s fun, trendy and, as Roggenburk describes it, “unexpected.”

The collection took a few months to create, and it marked Roggenburk’s third collaboration with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Her first came in 2022 for Women’s History Month. The second introduced the Iconic Collection design during the 2023 regular season. The most recent hit shelves at the Cavs’ first playoff game against the Miami Heat, and the garments will remain available through the rest of the postseason. Roggenburk even hints at another surprise coming for Round 2.

But no matter how many times Roggenburk gets the opportunity to collaborate with the Cavs, it will always feel like a dream come true.

“It's still super, super surreal,” she says. “It's definitely such an honor. We've been doing a ton of Cleveland apparel for years, and being able to work with one of the biggest, well-known entities in the city is a total full-circle moment.”

Sports have been Roggenburk’s gig ever since she moved to Cleveland in 2016 to pursue a photography business. An aerial photo of Downtown that she snapped during the Cavs’ NBA Championship parade left her engulfed in Cleveland’s sports scene and infatuated by the community it created. She decided to continue giving back through her photography and later through hometown merch, which has now become focal to her brand.

“The Cleveland community in general is awesome,” she says. “I just always like to shout them out and say thank you for everything, because, obviously, I know that none of this would happen without them.”
