The Cleveland Guardians find themselves in a tough spot after dropping Game 2 of the American League Championship Series to the New York Yankees. The series heads home on Thursday.

Here DMan's three takeaways from the Oct. 15 matchup:

Takeaway One: It’s getting late early for Cleveland.
Down 2-0 in the series, the Guardians are in a precarious position. While the Yankees held serve at home, the series shifts to Cleveland, where the Guardians boasted the best home record in baseball this season. Their season could hinge on maintaining that advantage.

Takeaway Two: Struggles with starting pitching.
Tanner Bibee didn’t make it out of the second inning, continuing a troubling trend for Cleveland's starters. No Guardians pitcher has recorded 15 outs in the postseason, which spells trouble if they can't get more length from the rotation.

Takeaway Three: Catching issues. David Fry’s arm injury has forced the Guardians to rely on Bo Naylor and Austin Hedges, both of whom have struggled offensively, making the lineup weaker as they approach critical games.
