After seven years of business on Lorain Ave., local vintage and antique shop All Things For You faced a major change of plans.

This past August, owners Tim Yanko and Dwight Kaczmarek were celebrating a Best of the West award, thanks to a wealth of success from their dealers, estate sales, and expansive warehouse of antiques, vintage furniture, and other collectibles. By September, the beloved shop was out of business until further notice. A major flood had soaked the store, damaging inventory on both the upper and lower levels. Leaving the interior beyond repair, Yanko and Kaczmarek’s only choice was to relocate.

Luckily, the house hunt managed to be quick and efficient, starting in the second week of September and culminating in a signed deal on Jan. 2. The new location, a 1900s mansion in the West 14th neighborhood of Tremont, deems special for the owners.

The building, at 3136 West 14th St., next door to Terrapin Bakery, is nestled in the heart of Cleveland’s Polish community. Both Tim and Dwight, each of Polish descent, immediately felt right at home. And from a business standpoint, the space holds lots of potential for the future of All Things For You.

“The original building was built in 1907,” Yanko relays. “In 1957, they added an addition, very mid-century modern-looking, which will be perfect. Our traditional furniture can go in the old house, and our mid-century modern will do very well in the new 1957 build.”

The duo’s favorite part of the new location, though? A 30-space parking lot directly on the property.

“We had a lot of space at the old store, but we did not have the parking, and that's the key.” Yanko says the parking will make purchases easier to navigate for customers transporting furniture and large merchandise.

More than hassle-free trunk loading, though, the expansive lot promises extra space for special events. Flea markets, pop-up greenhouses and flower shops, and fall-themed pumpkin patches are just some of the many things Yanko and Kaczmarek look forward to hosting here.

The best event of all, though, is just around the corner: the grand re-opening.

UPDATE: All Things For You is set to reopen on June 1. Find more details on the reopening at the shop’s Instagram and Facebook pages.

“We will definitely do a big grand opening, a grand opening weekend I would probably presume,” Yanko says. “In my other life, I’m a huge event planner.”
