Whether you dig emo, hip-hop, country, punk, metal, jazz or something else entirely, our Cleveland Current playlist has you covered.

The April playlist update explores plenty of types of new music, all crafted in Northeast Ohio or by artists with local connections. The 30-song mix runs for about 93 minutes — so, grab your headphones and tune in.

You’ll hear:

  • a sultry single from AngelDust
  • a moody collaboration between Billie Mitchell and Since2008
  • a snippet from Brian Straw’s retrospective album The Hidden Years (2000-2007)
  • a hip-hop banger from Brit Fox
  • a swoony R&B track from Sharod Brown
  • an ode to the Windy City from Sir Yacht and Maui Ski Club
  • a fresh pop-punk tune from Stay Gone
  • a delightful indie song from With Windswept Hair

... and more.

A highlight in the mix is Mud Whale’s ripper of a new album Humans Pretending to Be Human.

And you can catch the emo grunge band live this month. It will host Go Fest Yourself, a free music festival at the Five O’Clock Lounge on April 19 that features local and regional emo acts.
